Reflection 1

Mosh by Marshall Mathers and performed by Eminem:

• In the video Mosh, there was a lot of war symbolism. It was also very clear that the artist did not approve of Bush's role as a president, and did not respect his decision in sending American troops to war in Afghanistan. The dominant message was that we, the people need to stand up and protest our beliefs. It showed how the decisions of our former president Bush has made despair in the lives of innocent people. In the video the "victims"' of Bush wore a black hoody and marched/moshed together to stand up and provide a change and hope for the people.

1 Trillion Dollars by Justin Sane and performed by Anti-Flag:

• In the production 1 trillion dollars it symbolized American greed. It showed what our country, and people in general would do for money.  In the video a child signed her life away for a trillion dollars and was killed. I believe this symbolized how people are willing to give their life for money. Also the phrase "F*** the world, a lot of people gotta die tonight....F*** the world" symbolizes how people lose sight of the people they care about and the important things in life. While they are getting money and power they don't care who they hurt while they are doing it.

Body Paragraph 1-- Persuasive Essay

               The first reason I believe the age of consent should be changed is that people mature at different rates. When does responsibility begin? In most states, 16 is the age to get your drivers license. Although you can learn to fly at ages 14 and 15, even children as young as 11 and 12 can start flying lessons. How are these rules and regulations logical? These are only some of the evidences that the age of consent should be made dependent on an individuals control and ability, rather than their birthdays.

The age of consent should be changed when one considers the evaluation of maturity, unjust laws, and varying circumstances.

1. Eighteen is an adult and should not be associated with a child (17 and youger)
2. Helps protect from sexual preator; was not organally ment for teens
3. Maturity levals are not high enough to consent and examine consequenses to sexual acts
4. Age of Consent laws help prevent teen pregancy.
5. Laws are put in place to protect minors from sexual exploitation

Against:
1. How do you define statutary rape when both have consented to the act.
2. The Law is misinturpreted
3. Teens are being chared with molestation charges unfairly.
4. Teens are registerd and marked as a sexual predator.
5. a single mistake from teens follow them their whole life

The Best Unfortunate Events

One day my brother London and I were very bored. We decided to go to our best friends’ house. Their names were Christian, my friend, and Mario, London’s friend. They were brother and sister. We loved playing with them and getting into trouble together.


We hung out at their house for a couple of hours. We played video games and wrestled each other. When we got bored with that, we thought it would be a good idea to visit the horses that were down the road. We wanted to pet them, but we were too scared to go through the fence. We finally dared Mario, who was the most daring person I’ve met, to open the gate. He did, and we all started running as fast as we could! We were afraid the horses would sprint in a stampede.

When we thought we ran far enough, we slowed down laughing our heads off. By then it was dark, and bats were out. London told us if they fly low enough they can get caught in your hair, because they can’t see very well. At that we all started running hysterically. Christian and I kept shooing at our heads to make sure no bats were close.

We out ran the bats, and ended up back at my friends house. All of a sudden it started pouring down rain. We didn’t feel like going back home, or inside so we just decided to keep hanging out. We stayed out past our bedtime riding our scooters, and playing ball. We were enjoying each other’s company, and didn’t want to leave. My brother and I ended up staying the night with them and having a blast!
