Response to Wonder Woman
In the story Wonder Woman, Zora explains her life wanting to be a super hero. She had a reoccurring dream that a magic ball(which she has tattooed on her arm) gives her super powers. She was so infatuated by the idea, she devoted her time to learning skills such as car driving tricks, surviving in the wilderness, haunting animals, and doing things Indiana Jones would do. Graduating from high school at fifteen; she didn't make time for friends, boys, or a social life. She made lists, that improved and altered on what she would learn next, her deadline to learn it all was at age twenty two. To put her skills to good use, she decided to be a CIA agent. Sadly, she wasn't approved. She then decided to remake herself, realizing everything she had worked for was virtually for nothing; she moved her career in a different direction, and became a private investigator. She is now happy with her work, although she still continues her lists, she does not take them as seriously.

ReplyDeleteI was surprised to hear that Zora dedicated most of her life to learning some skills. Most people wouldn't give up their social life just to complete a set of goals. Although I don't understand how she was not approved to be a CIA agent when she was training for it for more than a couple of years. I like how all the training she did finally paid off in the end when she became a private investigator.
